Intermediate Test EngineerWhat does a successful Intermediate Test Engineer do at Fiserv?
We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Intermediate Test Engineer to join our team at Fiserv. This role is essential in ensuring quality and compliance throughout the testing process. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both functional and non-functional testing and will contribute to the overall success of our projects by collaborating closely with team members.
What you will do:
- Test Strategy and Execution: Prepare test plans and execute tests by getting involved from the earliest stages of development, contributing to requirements, design reviews and planning discussion.
- Automation Development: Develop and improve test automation framework with zero tolerance for failing tests and full integration into CI/CD workflow.
- Defect Management: Report defects, including root cause analysis and tracking the progress.
- Collaboration: Work with various groups (Dev, BA/PO) and integration teams to improve quality, resolve defects and break down silos.
- Quality Advocacy: Apply and promote quality assurance best practices throughout the organization.
- Continuous Learning: Gain technical understanding of the system under test and tools used, strive for process improvement and innovation.
- Product Delivery: Ensure quick turn-around time of stories, features and issues according to the standards of high-performing team.
What you will need to have:
- Experience in Agile/Scrum using exploratory testing techniques and heuristics
- Experience Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar backlog and defect management tools
- Experience in testing API, web, and native mobile applications
- Experience with Charles Proxy, Fiddler, or similar tools
- Experience with using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools
- Experience in building and maintaining native iOS/Android mobile and web automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium)
- Experience with analytics tools like Dynatrace and Splunk
- Experience with CI/CD advanced practices within Azure DevOps or a similar pipeline tool
- Experience in performance testing for cloud-based and on-prem platforms.
What would be great to have:
- Expertise in C#, TypeScript, and .NET technologies
- Expertise in native iOS or Android programming languages.
- Expert in the usage of Pact Contract Testing
- Experience in testing financial applications
