Human Resources DirectorAbout your role:
You will serve as a Human Resources Director supporting the Fiserv Merchant Solutions organization. leaders from Mississauga with regular time in our Toronto office and responsibility for associates across multiple Canadian provinces and territories. You will collaborate with sales and support leaders to design and implement people strategies that enable business objectives, ensure compliance with local labor standards, and deliver consistent employee experiences across locations.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a strategic partner to assigned business units, advising on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent priorities that align to business objectives.
- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, conducting investigations, recommending resolutions, and ensuring consistent application of local labor standards.
- Coach leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, and change initiatives to improve team effectiveness and retention.
- Support recruitment and selection activities, partnering with hiring managers to define requirements, assess candidates, and ensure equitable hiring practices.
- Facilitate performance management cycles, including goal setting, development planning, and completion of reviews.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, Risk, and Compensation to support policy updates, audits, compliance, salary reviews, and market benchmarking.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a business partner or advisory capacity supporting multi-location or multi-province teams in Canada.
- 5+ years managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with Canadian federal and provincial employment laws, including Human Rights and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- 3+ years administering benefits programs, leave management, and vendor coordination, and supporting compensation processes and job evaluations.
- 3+ years using Workday or similar HRIS to manage HR processes, reporting, and data analysis.
- 3+ years coaching leaders on performance management, development planning, and change management initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- CPHR or CHRP/CHRL designation, or working toward one.
- Experience supporting sales or merchant-facing organizations and their people strategies.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience preparing executive-level reporting and presentations for C-suite and board audiences.
- MBA or advanced degree in business, analytics, or a related field.
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.
Travel:
- Approximately 50% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.

Salary Range:
