Job Title

Senior Product Engineering Leader

What does a successful Senior Product Engineering Leader do?

As a Senior Product Engineering Leader, you will build the engineering systems and controls that help teams deploy faster while reducing production risk in a regulated fintech environment. You will work across product engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, and delivery teams to improve automation, quality gates, release patterns, and operational readiness. Your work will strengthen deployment reliability, reduce change risk, and improve consistency across critical engineering workflows.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) standards for microservices, data pipelines, core banking integrations, application programming interface (API) platforms, and infrastructure changes
  • Build automated quality gates for unit, integration, contract, security, performance, regression, and compliance checks
  • Define release patterns including blue-green deployments, canary deployments, feature flags, progressive rollout, rollback procedures, change evidence, and deployment approval controls
  • Improve site reliability engineering (SRE) practices across observability, service level objectives (SLOs), incident response, error budgets, postmortems, operational readiness, and toil reduction
  • Partner with delivery leaders to automate delivery discipline into pipelines so teams cannot bypass critical quality and control steps
  • Establish measurable controls for deployment consistency, release evidence, segregation of duties, audit trails, and change management in regulated delivery environments
  • Drive adoption of common release patterns, automated checks, and operational readiness gates across high-priority engineering squads
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

What you will need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, release engineering, or similar disciplines with measurable production deployment improvements
  • 8+ years of experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release controls, and production readiness practices for distributed systems
  • 8+ years of experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, test automation frameworks, observability platforms, secrets management tools, and cloud platforms or similar technologies
  • 6+ years of experience implementing release evidence, segregation of duties, audit trails, and change controls in regulated or operationally critical environments
  • 6+ years of experience improving deployment quality, failure reduction, rollback safety, and release consistency across multiple engineering teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

  • Experience supporting core banking integrations, API platforms, or transformation systems in financial technology environments
  • Experience implementing blue-green, canary, progressive rollout, and feature flag patterns at scale
  • Experience improving SLOs, operational readiness, and incident response for high-availability platforms
