As the Planning Manager, you will be the strategist to help leverage the scale and access of the Eloquii brand to truly impact our business growth, profitability, and efficiencies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Category/Item Forecasting: Performs all financial forecasting at the department/category/item level where needed using data-driven analytics, trend insights, and business intelligence to project future results. Partners with cross-functional team on inputs to forecast and shares output to drive alignment on sales expectations and inventory flow. Understands implications of trend to each metric and can guide teammates on actions to improve results.Fully owns end-to-end forecasts for Core/Reorder items, including sales, inventory flows and size breaks for purchase orders.
  • Business Management Decision Support: Assess the health of the business and seek root-cause of opportunities. Generate data-driven recommendations to improve customer and financial outcomes. Socialize findings and ideas to cross-functional team to steer decisions that impact the P&L.
  • Budgeting: Develops and makes recommendations on department, category and subcategory financial targets quarterly. Notate and convey business intelligence pertaining to future category performance. Plans receipts and sku count recommendations to cross-functional team in order to support the financial targets.
  • Financial Updates and Reporting: Own and build weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for all channels, highlighting business drivers, opportunities, key action plans, and timelines. Provides key event analysis and quarterly hindsight to frame go-forward strategies.Leads cross-functional business strategy discussions on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Inventory Management: Build and maintain bottoms-up sell-through forecasts by collection, partnering with the merchant team to evaluate the productivity of carryover and new choices on a weekly basis, recommending promotional and markdown strategies to effectively managing inventory turn. Manage the open-to-buy process to drive business productivity and profitability.

Understands customer behavior across channels, or within relevant channels (for example, demand trends, buying behaviors, consumption patterns around SKUs). Anticipates customer trends and influences demand through deep understanding of customer needs and depth of category vision.
  • Data and Digital Acumen: Leverages data analysis tools to explore multi-faceted financial data. Develops and tests hypotheses. Builds and presents insights using visualization tools to influence decisions and steer financial performance.
  • Strategic Perspective: Leverages insights sourced from data, business intelligence and customer trends to influence strategic direction of categories. Establish a connection between qualitative strategy and quantitative impact. Share findings and perspective to relevant stakeholders to ensure informed decisions within scope of ownership

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in either Inventory Planning, Merchandise Planning or Demand Planning
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen; ability to use data to derive critical and meaningful insights into business performance and opportunities
  • Self-starter with experience applying business results and metrics to drive action plans that encourage growth and mitigate risks
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with key partners to drive quality decisions
