About the Role
Description:
The Manager, Retail Strategy & Partnerships, will be the key team-member responsible for driving Fable’s rapidly expanding brand and retail relationships; reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, our Manager of Partnerships will play a critical role in impacting the growth and trajectory of this early-stage startup. Responsibilities include setting our partnership strategy alongside the CRO, driving key business development activities, actively managing the relationship and performance of all wholesale accounts, and coordinating cross-functionally to ensure seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and align on the retail and strategic partnership strategy with our CRO
- Manage business development related activities in close partnership with CRO, including:
- Identify, prioritize, secure, negotiate, and operationalize brand-aligned wholesale partnerships
- Identify and execute other strategic partnerships to support Fable’s growth targets and strategic objectives
- Create and deliver effective partnership proposals (including pricing, product, brand and positioning); negotiate partnership agreement terms
- Manage conference agenda and attendance activities
- Strengthen our partnerships and drive commercial success with existing accounts
- Build and maintain effective relationships with partner organizations; ensure ongoing successful execution of partnership agreements and enforce adherence to terms as required
- Regularly analyze data to understand drivers of partnerships’ performance and to inform strategic priorities
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure excellent wholesale operations
- Build reporting to effectively to communicate performance and progress against goals to senior leadership and to partners
- Work closely with Marketing and Operations & Supply Chain leadership to set quarterly channel targets and to secure inventory
- Work closely with Product Innovation team to optimize new & existing product catalog for partnerships and drive Packaging updates to support in-store merchandising needs
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- 4-6 years of experience and proven success in wholesale/retail partnerships and/or experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank
- Bachelor’s Degree and high degree of academic achievement
- Understanding of wholesale/retail business models and ideally experience launching and partnering DTC brands within wholesale accounts
- Expertise in contract analysis and negotiation
