Gabbi is seeking a Collaborating Physician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing oversight for our advanced practice providers in applicable states. Our Nurse Practitioners are breast specialists who manage women who are at an increased/high risk for breast cancer via telehealth. Our ideal candidate would be an OBGYN, Internal Medicine Physician, or Family Practice Physician, and have an interest in breast health and TeleMedicine.

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute collaborative responsibilities for assigned Collaborative Agreements and periodically renew as required by state law
  • Conduct quality reviews of collaborating APPs’ patient charts periodically based on state regulations or procedures
  • Provide oversight and feedback as needed to NP on performance, including areas with opportunities for improvement
  • Attend meetings with NP via video conference periodically in accordance with state requirements.
  • Availability via telecommunication for consultations on problems, complications, emergencies, and referrals
  • Any other duties or services required by laws, rules, or regulations relating to collaboration with the NP as designated by your state
  • Follows the NCCN guidelines for breast cancer screening.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from a US medical school or foreign medical school with ECFMG certification
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) required
  • Completion of Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Board Certification
  • Expertise in the treatment and management of breast health issues including women who are at an increased/high risk for breast cancer
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience
  • Prior experience as a collaborative physician strongly preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with technology and the use of electronic health record systems
  • Current, unrestricted State Medical licenses in at least one of the following states; FL, TX, PA, IL, OH, VA, CA, GA, NC, MI
  • DEA license(s) and controlled substance license(s), if applicable
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and other applicable standards for clinical practice for assigned area(s) of responsibility

Compensation: This position is paid hourly and entails an estimated time commitment of 30 to 90 minutes per month, contingent on the volume of patients and providers.
