This is an incredible opportunity where you will be working directly with the founding team. You will be amongst a world-class team with experience from BCG, early investors in Y Combinator, early NuBank (NYSE: NU), Zendesk, Hims & Hers, and many more. This is the first marketing hire after the founder CD.
The Ground AI team has built numerous consumer companies, including a couple of unicorns. Despite Ground being a B2B SaaS, we operate more like a consumer company and are driven by the very best: our customers. Ground customers includes some of the world's most innovative consumer companies. In this role, your voice and style will be experienced in front of thousands of consumer companies, including major brands like Disney, Equinox, and Sephora. This is an opportunity to push the boundaries of your creativity in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of a startup. Sink of swim, baby…or something like that.
What will you do?
Project Description | |
Introduction to Ground | • Map out and categorize the tech ecosystem servicing Shopify/ DTC brands • Create a timeline of the evolution of the tech ecosystem in our market • What are the emerging trends shaping our industry? • Who are Ground’s direct and indirect competitors? |
Sales | Now that you have a good understanding of the market, your first project will focus on partnerships. This will involve: • Reaching out to Directors of Partnerships at various tech companies and scheduling calls for Shahriar to join. • Applying to different tech partner programs. Why Partnerships? Partnerships can account for more than 50% of revenue for major companies like Klaviyo, HubSpot, and Salesforce. They are a key growth lever for building brand awareness, acquiring new customers, and finding strategic collaboration opportunities. Other Sales Projects 1. Influencer Outreach Reach out to influencers in our space for potential collaboration with Ground. 2. Sales Development Representative (SDR) Find client leads and schedule initial calls with Ground. |
Product | Product Marketing • Research and map out product marketing strategies of best-in-class SaaS startups (Superhuman, Calendly, Klaviyo, Gorgias, etc) • Identify areas of improvement for Ground + draft email marketing campaigns (you may need to work with different tools such as Flodesk, Klaviyo, Figma) Customer Success • Research and map out the questions that Ground frequently receives from our customers. • Create a “Get Started” page on Ground’s website to clarify common questions and concerns. • Create a database of examples of flows for the different features Ground offers A/B Testing • Leverage social media such as Reddit, TikTok, Instagram to test various messaging and value propositions Data Analysis • Perform cohort analysis and build a retention table • Build a dashboard of the main SaaS metrics |
Marketing | Social Media • Engage on different social media platforms • Amplify Ground’s brand • Find different communities where Ground can grow its presence (Reddit, Discord, TikTok, different online communities) |
