Description

Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Data Scientist to join the Asia Operations Supply Demand Management Team.

As a Data Scientist, you will design and deploy AIML solutions for the Supply Demand Management team that will improve work efficiencies through agentic workflows by building knowledge bases, writing code, and prompt engineering. You will build, train, and test machine learning models such as Deep Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning. You will collaborate with business teams to transform how we work today (data inputs, data validation, running tools, root cause analysis, and generating insight reports) with AIML.

Responsibilities

• You will lead through the full project life cycle—from kickoff, problem definition, requirements, scope, design, testing, rollout, and user onboarding. You will also drive communications across project, stakeholder, and leadership teams.
• You will be directly responsible for developing algorithms, building data models, and designing visualizations using advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to facilitate data-driven decisions.
• You will ensure project objectives are met, such as customer satisfaction, user acceptance, and business impact. You will apply analytical skills to help rationalize and inspire change.
• You will provide consultancy on data techniques and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, data analysis, or data modeling, with a strong focus on model evaluation, accuracy, and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with vector similarity search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, LLM prompt evaluation techniques, fuzzy matching, and embedding, with experience in integrating these methods into real-world applications.
• Advanced programming skills in data manipulation, data processing, and building scalable data pipelines (SQL & Python preferred). Experience with distributed computing is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering AIML solutions in a supply chain operations environment.
• Experience working with multi-modal foundation models such as Gemini 2.5, Claude, and GPT in practical applications such as model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Developed Machine Learning models such as Deep Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning.
• Built a multi-agent network that translates into an agentic workflow that transforms an organization's work processes.
• Experience crafting, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting experiments and investigations.
• Comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to structure complex analysis and drive insights through data exploration and strategic research.
