Description
This is a hands-on engineering position focused on SysCoex development, system validation, test methodology, and tool development.
As part of the Apple Watch team, you will help with system feature evaluation, prototyping, test planning, test fixture/tool development, and integration with cross-functional teams. You will also support prototype builds with our manufacturing partners and contribute to both test and failure analysis procedures to ensure a high level of product quality.
In addition to hardware validation responsibilities, this role includes software development for test automation, data analysis, and tooling to enhance system-level testing efficiency and reliability.

Description

Minimum Qualifications
- BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years relevant industry experience working on system validation, embedded systems, or hardware testing
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including analog and digital design
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for test automation or tool development
- Familiarity with test system architecture, including instrumentation control, automation, and large-scale data handling
- Experience developing hardware test tools or validation frameworks (Python, C/C++, automation libraries, data pipelines)
- Understanding of power systems, sensors, mixed-signal interfaces, and low-power embedded design
- Hands-on experience with prototype bring-up, FA workflows, or build support in a high-volume product environment
- Experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Agno or LLM-based APIs) and practical development of AI-driven agent systems
- Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills
- Experience working with multi-functional hardware and software teams
- Enthusiastic, self-driven, and comfortable working in a collaborative engineering environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
