Summary
The Procurement Buyer is positioned at the interface between company
engineering teams and the industries that supply R&D equipment.
We are responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as
recommending product innovations based on improving technology. The position
requires an interest in market dynamics, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing
processes, on time delivery, vendor management and risk mitigation.
Description
Develop a nuanced understanding of the electronic components landscape to forecast
industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and
supplier power within core materials markets and use industry dynamics to company
advantage. Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that
meet company performance criteria and secure on time delivery for R&D commodities.
Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the
ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively
identify potential supply issues that can affect engineering strategy and manufacturing
schedule . Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes
and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence
company new technologies roadmap and sourcing decisions.
Assess and mitigate risks of
the business.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and
in writing with internal customers and suppliers (English and Hebrew).

Responsibilities
- Managing the procurement cycle including sourcing new suppliers and negotiating
- Agreements.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and on
- time delivery.
- Deep knowledge of the semiconductors market and electronic components
- manufacturers and distributers as well as lab equipment vendors.
- Working with Contract Manufacturers and understanding the internal operation procedures.
- Develop and implement efficiencies, practices and procedures to support the dynamic
- requirements of the R&D department.
- Sourcing for R&D dynamic needs.
- Minimum 5+ years of Electronic Components procurement - required.
- BA/BSc in Industrial Engineering/Management/ Economics/ Logistics or similar – required
- MBA is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills

- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing Electronic Components
- Ability to interface with senior management
- Team player, excellent people skills, ability to work in multi-tasking environment
- Proficient in MS-Excel
