We are looking for a Customs Compliance Analyst to be part of our Trade Compliance team which supports Customs and Indirect Tax Compliance within Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. The role is based in our Bengaluru Office and will focus on the compliance requirements for Customs across the country.

Description
As Customs Compliance Analyst, we look forward to your expertise in two core areas :
- CORE CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE :
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Customs Compliance, including GST legislation, MOOWR scheme, and SEZ schemes.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Customs Classification, with in-depth knowledge of General Interpretative Rules (GIR), relevant notifications, and circulars.
- Skilled in accurate classification of goods using HS codes and determination of applicable duty rates.
- Well-versed in Customs Valuation principles and origin determination under Free Trade Agreements
- AUDIT RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop & maintain internal controls which demonstrate accuracy & compliance of all regulations
- Conduct periodic internal audits to identify gaps in process
- Ability to apply Customs legislation and best practices effectively to business operations and partner ecosystems.
- Experienced in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across diverse business functions and supply chains.
- Capable of analyzing regulatory notifications, identifying interpretational challenges, and communicating implications to cross-functional teams.
- Experienced in managing external Customs brokers to ensure compliance, accuracy in duty payments, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Manage end-to-end customs projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with applicable regulations
- Primary point of contact for all audit requests issues by Indian Customs
- Chartered Accountant/ Lawyer/ or a degree in International Trade
- Must possess excellent analytical, communication, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience working within an MNC is an advantage
- 5+ years of experience in Customs Compliance
- Self-motivated and flexible, who works well both individually and in teams.
