We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Manager to lead a small team of Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) and drive the successful delivery of complex cross-functional initiatives in alignment with organisational goals.

This is a hands-on leadership role - you will be in the detail, actively coaching and guiding your team, removing obstacles, managing risk and timelines, and driving delivery. You will be the connective tissue between our team and a wide network of local and global stakeholders, including our engineering teams, business partners and fellow IS&T teams, building the trusted relationships that make great work possible. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, navigating complexity and driving results in Apple's fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- People leadership: Leading, inspiring, mentoring, and developing a team of Engineering Project Managers, setting clear expectations, managing performance, providing regular feedback, supporting career growth, and building a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture.
- Stakeholder & relationship management: Building and sustaining strong relationships with local and global stakeholders across business and IT. Acting as a trusted partner, managing expectations proactively, and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Project delivery: Providing strategic and tactical oversight for an agreed portfolio of complex cross-functional projects, overseeing on-time, quality delivery. Providing hands-on support and direction to EPMs on your team, identifying and managing risks early, and ensuring consistent project standards.
- Connecting the technical and the business teams: Partnering with EPMs and global delivery partners to translate technical concepts and engineering challenges into clear business language, and navigating business priorities and requirements for technical delivery teams.
- Strategic Planning: Partnering with leadership to contribute to team strategy, resource and succession planning, and capability development while identifying opportunities for process improvement and technical innovation.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing people, with a focus on coaching, team growth, and creating an inclusive environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across local, global, in-person and remote settings, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and to a high standard, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and curiosity, including the ability to build deep technical understanding, engage credibly with engineering teams, and translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical audiences.
- The ability to present clearly and confidently to a range of audiences, from project teams to senior leadership.
- Experience managing Engineering Project Managers, program managers, or similar technical delivery roles.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to drive consistency and quality across a team portfolio.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI tools to enhance project and program management workflows, reporting, and team productivity.
- A proactive approach, with a strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility.
- Familiarity with customer-facing IT systems or enterprise technology environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience — we value the knowledge and perspective you bring, however you gained it.
