This regional role, based in Singapore, is responsible for managing and executing bulk freight operations (Air, Ocean and Trucking) across Asia Pacific. Your responsibilities include import/export portion for finished goods and after sales products/components routed between Original Equipment Manufacturers - predominantly in China - and regional Distribution Centres and Resellers in the Asia Pacific region. You will lead day-to-day operations driving excellent supply chain performance through our logistics suppliers as part of a team of passionate logistics experts.

Description
This regional role, based in Singapore, is responsible for managing and executing bulk freight operations (Air, Ocean and Trucking) across Asia Pacific. Your responsibilities include import/export portion for finished goods and after sales products/components routed between Original Equipment Manufacturers - predominantly in China - and regional Distribution Centres and Resellers in the Asia Pacific region. You will lead day-to-day operations driving excellent supply chain performance through our logistics suppliers as part of a team of passionate logistics experts.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily and peak-event bulk freight (Air, Ocean and Trucking) importation operations with third-party vendors, covering importation approvals, troubleshooting, PR/PO management, billing, and vendor performance.
- Serve as subject-matter expert for bulk freight importation process and compliance in Indonesia (Preferential Tariff, TPP, PI, PSI) and Malaysia (SIRIM).
- Drive third-party logistics (3PL) partners towards operations excellence around on-time execution, losses and damage, track & trace, freight payment metrics.
- Collaborate with 3PLs on strategic initiatives around capacity management, volume fluctuations, cost savings, process/system improvements.
- Engage our freight forwarder resources to drive operations execution, shipment reporting, and timely resolution of shipment issues.
- Continually review and develop logistics capabilities to ensure we are able to scale our supply chains to support continued growth.
- Coordinate, maintain, and troubleshoot regulatory documentation and system access for external vendors — including certificates, test reports, product and technical specs, and Power of Attorney (POA) - in partnership with internal Apple stakeholders.
- Support new product launch processes for finished goods and service level components. Drive importation requirements during New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles by identifying process needs and aligning stakeholders on risks and impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support authority inquiries, audits, and operational reporting.
- Collaborate internally across functions to overcome supply chain uncertainty. Drive cross functional initiatives with OEM and Planning teams to optimise shipments to reduce cost and increase capacity.
- Support projects as a subject matter expert by translating business requirements into system setup, as well as proposing system/process enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency or customer experience. This includes playing a key role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and advising on these projects.
- Champion a growth mindset by actively applying AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation to importation workflows.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance.
- Import operations experience in Indonesia and/or Malaysia.
- Experienced in fast moving, customer focused organisation, ideally with high tech / high value shipments.
- Seasoned vendor management skills with consistent track record in developing and leading supplier performance.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills with the ability to stitch across multiple teams.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance.
- Knowledge of other South-East Asian importation markets.
- Eager to learn and be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of SAP or equivalent systems, and experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.) preferred.
- Takes initiative and challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrate a positive and approachable demeanour.
- Able to travel within APAC and internationally.
