The Role
We’re looking for a Part-time social media manager to make captivating content for Lex’s social media (TikTok & Instagram). You will work alongside our Marketing Manager to plan and execute marketing campaigns that drive growth and engage the Lex community. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both being in front of the camera and bringing queer community together. We’re a creative and fast-moving team that’s passionate about unlocking the full potential of technology to help LGBTQ+ people meet. If you have ideas to bring new people to Lex through social media, we’d love to work with you!
Who You Are
You are self-motivated, creative, and ambitious individual who is comfortable working both solo and collaboratively.
You’re in the loop with queer culture and media.
You’re a TikTok expert - you possess strong video editing and creative skills.
You’re an Instagram expert - you possess strong content creation & community engagement skills.
You are a social butterfly! You feel comfortable engaging with people socially. Example: Holding a sign that reads “Get Gay Famous!” in the Washington Sq Park while being filmed and approaching strangers with a microphone
You are comfortable with remote work, possess knowledge & passion about queer history and pop culture.
You are excited to create work for a product that works hard to be inclusive, intersectional and collaborative.
You have an engaging sense of humor, radiate cheer and gay joy
What You'll Do
Work with Lex's Marketing Manager to develop & and execute organic social media marketing campaigns
Stay up-to-date with industry trends
Create shareable and impactful social content for TikTok & Instagram
Concept and create TikTok videos to educate the community about Lex
Audit the competitive landscape and identify growth opportunities
Lead by influence and collaborate with internal and external creative teams to bring campaigns, programs, and assets to life
Ensure output is inclusive, intersectional and tailored to the queer community
Ensure content is accessible and intuitive and respect user privacy
Have fun & be creative!
How we’ll be working together:
You’ll work closely with Lex’s marketing manager to execute Lex’s social content
You’ll attend weekly standup meetings

Ability to prioritize and multi-task when given aggressive deadlines
Requirements:
10-15 hours/week
Must be based in NYC-metropolitan area. This will be a hybrid (but mostly remote) role.
Compensation:
10-15 hours/week. $30-$40/hour, depending on experience
3 month contract to start with potential contract renewal or transition to full-time
