We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as our Head of Sales — a hybrid role that combines strategic retail growth with meaningful education and community engagement. This role will help own and manage relationships with key retail partners, while also developing scalable training programs that bring our inclusive beauty story to life across every touchpoint. This role is based in Los Angeles or New York, and is a Hybrid role.

Description

The Role: You’ll be just as comfortable leading a business review with a retailer as you are hosting a masterclass or creating training for beauty advisors. If you’re equal parts strategic, educational, and obsessed with how our customer feels seen in beauty — this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Account Management

  • Serve as liaison for key retail partners
  • Manage sell-in and sell-through targets, forecasting, and promotional planning
  • Analyze performance and present data-driven business cases to grow retail presence
  • Partner with marketing and ops to launch new products seamlessly in retail
  • Drive field readiness: education, retail activations, events, launch kits, co-op programs

Education Leadership

  • Design and implement a scalable education strategy for retail teams, internal staff and Beauty Advisors
  • Create engaging, inclusive training content: videos, guides, scripts, and LMS modules
  • Host trainings, product demos, or live masterclasses to elevate product understanding
  • Maintain a feedback loop between customers, stores, and product team
  • Act as an internal ambassador of brand tone, community-first storytelling, and DEI

Who you are:

  • 8+ years in beauty industry roles across account management and education/training
  • Experience working with major retail partners (Ulta, Sephora, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of POS data, promotions, and retail sell-through strategies
  • Proven success building and scaling education programs (field, digital, or LMS-based)
  • Strong communicator with a love for training, presenting, and motivating others
  • Deep belief in inclusive beauty, skin tone equity, and purpose-led storytelling
  • Ability to travel for trainings, events, or retailer meetings (up to 50%)
