JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) will serve as a key strategic leader for Milk Bar, setting long-term and short-term financial and strategic plans, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and risk management, while providing mission-critical financial analysis to support cross-functional business decision-making. The Senior Manager of FP&A will analyze and protect the financial health of the business while leading key elements of the Finance team, including FP&A, data and reporting to internal leadership and board/investor partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

FP&A

• Consistently execute & improve monthly reporting package; analyzing monthly actuals vs budget vs PY, assessing KPIs and store-level P&L performance. Develop and present summaries of departmental performance to each budget owner and Directors.

• Develop and issue timely and complete financial statements, reporting packages, and dashboards that are uniquely designed for different audiences (corporate, Board and investors, etc.) within each Channel.

• Prepare and manage P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

• Implement & track operational KPIs across the Company to establish clear, attainable goals in revenue-generating departments.

• Support all equity and debt financing transactions, structure and documentation.

• Formalize and implement a robust quarterly re-forecasting process in partnership with budget owners.

• Lead the annual cross functional budgeting process

Strategic Finance

• Support the financial reporting and analysis for due diligence efforts, including fundraising or strategic partnerships

• Provide ongoing analysis to support cross departmental business decisions such as pricing optimization, resource allocation, and go-to-market strategies. Work closely with Operations, playing a proactive role in creating new systems, including demand forecasts, that have financial and operational impact.

• Champion process improvement efforts to support the profitable growth of the business.

• Understand all profitability components (e.g., stores, CPG, ecommerce).

• Support ongoing cost efficiency initiatives and analyze sales and new product launches.

Other

• Partner with Controller to assess current accounting and operational procedures in order to streamline processes & support the execution of the Company’s year-end audit and income tax returns.

• Partner with the Talent team to review company policies and procedures. Collaborate to improve controls and ensure consistency and efficiency in all systems.

• Assist in providing financial input on annual liability packages and other insurance renewals.

• Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering professional development and collaboration

• Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embody our core values, inspire celebration, and create real magic. Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• 5-8 years experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or banking

• Experience managing a team and development of strategies and budgets

• Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner

• Experience with NetSuite required

• Experience in an Omni-Channel or startup company preferred

• Extreme attention to detail and drive for excellence

• CPA a plus

• Willingness to dig into the details

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills and a willingness to work cross-functionally across the company
