ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is uniquely at the intersection of patient care and hospitality. It is ideal for a candidate seeking an innovative care delivery role in a growing healthcare startup. As a key member of the Care Team, the Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner is critical to ensuring our members feel their health narrative is heard and well managed. As part of their growth at The Lanby, the PA/NP will be trained in Functional and Integrative Medicine to ensure a consistent holistic approach across the Care Team.

YOU WILL

The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner is primarily responsible for addressing members’ acute primary care concerns and ensuring timely follow up and oversight of care in and outside of The Lanby. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Triaging & responding to patient messages via centralized member app.
• Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, which may include prescribing medications, recommending natural remedies or ordering further testing to confirm diagnoses.
• Conducting physical exams, ongoing visits to check in on progress, and charting the findings in our EHR.
• Developing personalized care plans in collaboration with the rest of the care team (Physician and Wellness Advisor).
• Coordinating patient care for specialist referrals and imaging.
• Managing clinical follow-ups to keep members on track with screenings and other clinical milestones.
• Learning the principles of functional medicine to analyze expanded lab panels and provide members with targeted next steps to address deficiencies or issues.
• Empowering patients by educating them on their health conditions and treatment options and providing guidance around next steps.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• 1+ year(s) experience as a PA or NP in Primary Care, Family or Internal Medicine
• Certified in NY

Preferred:

• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Experience or previous training in Integrative Medicine and/or Functional Medicine
• Willing to start part-time and transition to full-time in NYC (in-person and virtual)

TIMELINE
