As a Director of Engineering on our Applications, you will contribute to a critical and strategic area for Thrive. You will lead our Application teams to deliver the Thrive experience to our users across a variety of platforms, including Web, Mobile, MS Teams, Slack. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Customer Success and other stakeholders within Thrive and our 3rd party platform partners to deliver on the goal of bringing the Thrive experience close to our users, in their flow of work and maximizing the opportunities of each platform and influencing the product as a whole.

How You'll Contribute:

• Lead the integration of Thrive across all our platforms, including Web, Mobile, MS Teams, Slack, Call centers and more

• Set and hold yourself and those around you accountable to concrete goals and a Technical vision & roadmap for Thrive’s platform integrations

• Drive decisions and work with multiple teams to ensure Thrive fits with the ethos of each platform, and we best utilize their capabilities

• Help develop & improve our product development processes, including for accessibility, internationalization, page speed performance

• Influence the overall direction of the product to align with platform capabilities, including highlighting & driving initiatives to add features driving platform adoption

• Work with our external platform advocate to highlight Thrive within their ecosystem

• Lead, develop, and mentor teams of high-performing engineers.

Must Haves:

• Demonstrated history of leadership in managing high impact engineering projects, preferably in a SaaS startup environment.

• Strong leadership and vision, and proven track record of creating and successfully executing strategic initiatives.

• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple levels, from detailed technical designs with engineering to broad product initiatives with key business stakeholders.

• Comfortable in a remote-first environment, working across timezones.

• Experience prioritizing competing objectives and communicating the rationale for complicated decision-making.

Compensation for this role depends on level, and will likely fall in the $200,000-270,000 range. We provide a competitive mix of salary, performance bonus, and equity
