Opportunity:

Womp is looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help us build the next generation of our 3D creation platform. You will work with a team of front-end engineers, back-end engineers, product designers, and senior leadership to take Womp's user experience to the next level. We are a small but steadily growing team, and this position will be essential in shaping the future of our product, team, and company culture. Check out our product hunt page. Responsibilities:

  • Build, test, and maintain beautiful user experiences for our web apps.
  • Work with the CTO and other junior engineers to make high-level architecture and design decisions
  • Work closely with designers to develop consistent, usable UI/UX elements
  • Contribute to our continuous efforts to improve our development infrastructure and processes
  • Help communicate and implement best practices across the engineering team
  • Perform and participate in code reviews
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborate and participate in team meetings and daily standups
  • Ability to multitask and adapt within an agile startup environment

    • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a product-centered team
  • Expert in Javascript, REST API, React.js, Redux, Typescript
  • Deep understanding of SPA development with React and Redux
  • Ability to write high quality, maintainable, modular and well tested code
  • Familiarity with website performance evaluation tools and methods
  • Experience with profiling, troubleshooting and optimizing performance
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean development practices
  • A healthy curiosity for new technology, but a deep understanding of proven technology
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills are essential for this role

    • Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience in building large-scale real-time applications
  • Experience with WebGL and GLSL
  • Experience with streaming tech including WebRTC
  • Back-end experience is a plus
  • Understanding of 3D modeling and design is a plus
