Community and Content Associate

As the Community and Content Associate, you will be responsible for bringing to life our community management and engagement strategy, solidifying Zola as the ultimate destination for soon-to-be and engaged couples, and wedding vendors. You will champion our brand voice, and translate it into content and interactions that capture the hearts and minds of our existing and prospective users.
The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller with a deep passion for creating connections, capable of developing and executing community and content initiatives that drive discovery, favorability, and business results. This full-time role, reporting to the Social Media Manager, will be hybrid at our office in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Drive all community management efforts in partnership with our CX team, including sourcing UGC content, surprise and delight opportunities and proactive/reactive commentary
- Lead all social listening, and proactively identify insights and opportunities to join or start conversations that will increase reach, engagement, and affinity across all social platforms
- Champion our brand voice and write compelling copy that gets the attention of and engages our target audiences
- Concept and propose community and content ideas that engage users and drive results, taking ownership of the process from ideation to execution
- Support the creation of compelling narratives for the brand across all owned and operated channels (inclusive of site and social), and support the Creative team with general copywriting as needed
- Assist with content creation in partnership with the Social and Creative team
The Ideal Candidate…
- Has 2-3 years experience in community management and/or copywriting at a content-driven and/or consumer brand
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills and the ability to adhere to a brand voice, adapting to social channels and audiences as needed
- Is comfortable behind and in front of the (iPhone) lens, and has a proven track record of creating engaging content with entry-level video editing (TikTok/Adobe Rush) experience a plus
- Is a culture maven with a pulse on what’s relevant and interesting, who’s constantly on the hunt for trends and insights and operates with a bias for action to activate against ideas quickly
- Must be extremely self-motivated and proactive, with the ability and confidence to work independently and collaboratively
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Instagram and X
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000
