The brand was initially launched in March 2017 as Big Hair No Care by Cosmopolitan’s 2018 Influencer of the Year, Freddie Harrel. Now rebranded as RadSwan, the company is set to launch this September having raised over $2m in seed funding from an all-female group of investors including BBG Ventures, Female Founders fund, and Pritzker.
RadSwan is set to disrupt the black beauty market and is one of the very few black woman-owned brands to ever raise over $1m.
Starting with hair and expanding into other adjacent beauty and lifestyle categories, RadSwan will be the first beauty brand that centers innovation, sustainability and co-creation serving the global African Diaspora
The Role:
As Growth Marketing Manager, you will own and execute RadSwan’s overall digital marketing strategy.
Reporting directly to the VP of Business Operations, you will have a unique opportunity to get involved during the formative stage of a brand and take it wherever you think it should go, playing a vital role in growing the customer base, driving engagement, fostering loyalty and love for the product, brand, and community.
You will be responsible for the brand’s foundations, overarching the brand strategy, and translating those into integrated campaigns and activation across all touchpoints– search, social, PR, influencer, email, partnerships, e-commerce, and other key channels.
Responsibilities:
-Supercharge our upcoming launch by developing and optimizing experiments across user targeting, creative/copy, and landing page optimization
-Strategically lead and efficiently scale (with hands-to-keyboard implementation) RadSwan’s paid customer acquisition strategy online across high impact digital activities with proven ROI: paid social, paid search (SEM), content marketing, email, programmatic and direct mail, influencer marketing, podcast ads, affiliate marketing, video advertising, and more
-Partner with our VP of Business Ops and CEO to develop our go-to-market communication plan for launches and campaigns, and fully own the email calendar (including email production coordination), testing roadmap and iterative process
-Develop, manage and optimize SEO strategies and map out new strategies on a rolling basis
-Develop framework and measurement tools in tandem with the VP of Business Ops for key performance indicators across marketing channels
-Drive a strategic and analytical culture within marketing and cross-functionally by reporting metrics & KPIs, and optimizing campaigns on a weekly and monthly basis
-Proactively identify and drive recommendations for testing & optimization opportunities across acquisition and retention channels
-Work cross-functionally with our managing team and agencies on ecommerce optimization, product co-creation (product feedback, testing, etc.) and customer insights to continuously come up with new, more sophisticated strategies for growth
-Continuously analyze, scrutinize, and test to drive results including messaging, segmentation, creative testing, and UX testing
-Own the relationship with Paid Marketing Agency, and optimize marketing spend efficiency across channels, effectively increasing LTV/CAC
-Effectively leverage resources and opportunities across product development, social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, customer service, SEO and SEM, RadSwan’s blog and site content, as well as digital advertising campaigns to increase new customers, site visits, conversions, and reduce CPA
-Evaluate and benchmark with competitor brands to ensure that Radswan deploys the best in class strategies for an on-going unique, digital experience.
-Consistently meet performance marketing targets whilst supporting the overarching business strategy.
We’d love to hear from you if:
-You have 4+ years of experience in an analytical, growth marketing role -You have experience in early-stage direct-to-consumer and/or e-commerce or retail, preferably at a digitally-native brand -You have experience working with paid media platforms and implementing paid media best practices, including programmatic display, paid search (Google/Bing), and paid social (Facebook/Instagram) -You have experience with business analytics tools and ESP/automation platform -You are highly analytical with a strong knowledge of Excel -You have the ability to connect qualitative and quantitative sources to drive impactful insights -You have excellent communication skills and the ability to translate findings into strategic recommendations -You have a proven track record of developing effective and engaging advertising, storytelling, and integrated marketing programs -You have experience creating SEO strategies and implementing best practices -You are driven and want to build something from scratch -You burst with ideas, resources, and empathy -You love to innovate, to think outside the box -You execute, on time, and above expectations -You thrive in an extremely early stage, minimally structured environments -You love user acquisition and have immersed yourself in the practice -You have opinions on how paid, social, and content should work in tandem to drive growth -You love brands and have opinions on how brands should be built
